Creating spaces where neurodivergent minds can thrive.
At Break the Barriers, we believe every child, adult, and family deserves to be understood, supported, and valued exactly as they are.
Founded by Sara, a teacher with over 20 years of experience and lived experience of autism and ADHD, Break the Barriers offers inclusive tutoring, mentoring, and signposting for neurodivergent learners and adults.
We understand that many people face invisible barriers every day — classrooms that overwhelm the senses, workplaces that demand masking, and systems that reward conformity instead of authenticity. These challenges can lead to exhaustion, self-doubt, and a loss of confidence — not because neurodivergent people lack ability, but because the world often fails to meet them halfway.
That’s why we do things differently.
We create calm, flexible learning and mentoring spaces built around the individual — where communication is respected in all its forms, and differences are recognised as strengths. We also support families with guidance and signposting, helping them navigate education systems and find the understanding they deserve.
At Break the Barriers, we are not just helping people succeed — we are helping them be seen, heard, and celebrated.
Understanding first, so barriers can be broken.
